I honestly have to vote for Tranquil Thicket, just because of Life from the Loam's raw power.

Between the last time I logged on and this time, I thought of that, too. I wondered if I should change my vote or just edit my post to give honorable mention to the Thicket. I'm leaving my vote the same for now, but it's very true that cycling lands are super good when you have access to G.

No new votes? Alright, then.

CURRENTLY VOTING - Best COLORLESS Utility Land
If you click that link, it'll search Magiccards.info and pull up all utility lands with no colored mana symbols.

EDIT: Here's an alternate link if you don't want to use magiccards.info for any reason. Thanks to tarnar for compiling that list.

This one is a doozy. I went ahead and took Krosan Verge and some other fetchlands out, but you still have to wade through Adventurer's Guildhouse and Henge of Ramos, which are clearly not colorless utility. Sorry.

Anyway, Maze of Ith may be great, but it doesn't even get runner up on my list. I vote Springjack Pasture, with Vesuva close in second.

Huh, that's a long list. Short version:

Bazaar of Baghdad
Deserted Temple
Forbidden Orchard
Maze of Ith
Mikokoro, Center of the Sea
Reliquary Tower
Sorrow's Path
Springjack Pasture
Thawing Glaciers
Vesuva
Dust Bowl / Strip Mine / Wasteland

There are other playables, but these are the ones I think are the most universally playable. This one will probably go to either Maze or Vesuva, but Dust Bowl is the one I personally like the most.

Can we please ban this card already? It's too good, and it fits in any deck, regardless of color.

Zoetic Caverns is money. Strip Mine/Wasteland/Dust Bowl is kinda good. City of Shadows and Maze of Ith are awesome.

So Vesuva. It's all that, and then some.

Strip Mine

Barring some schenanigans, no matter what land you choose, Strip Mine kills 'em all.

Honorable mentions to Wasteland and Dust Bowl for doing almost the same thing, Vesuva for letting you do it too, and Maze of Ith for sheer defensive (and political) power.

Strip Mine takes it for me. Zero-mana LD that is uncounterable and abusable is just simply ridiculous.

Strip Mine goes in almost every deck but Vesuvia goes in EVERY deck, period.

That's not ban-worthy, that's the spirit of EDH. Three-card combo involving the combat phase? Awesome.

My vote goes for Vesuva and I will explain. I play with and against some high-powered decks: Azami, Oona (me), All of the Stripmine effects can be responded to and with Tolarian Academy or Sera's Sanctum going off it is easy to side-step this effect. Vesuva's ability is a static ability and therefore cannot even be responded to. This makes it the BEST card to get rid of the broken Saga lands. It is also great at giving you land that you really need or would like to have.

As for the runner up: Dust Bowl. This card is sick. Blowing up all non-basic land is really good to say the least. Strip and Waste are good but are one shot effects... against 4 or 5 players they are really underpowered where Dust Bowl just gets better.

603.6e Some permanents have text that reads “[This permanent] enters the battlefield with . . . ,”
“As [this permanent] enters the battlefield . . . ,” “[This permanent] enters the battlefield as . . .
,” or “[This permanent] enters the battlefield tapped.” Such text is a static ability—not a
triggered ability—whose effect occurs as part of the event that puts the permanent onto the
battlefield.

Reliquary Tower is one land I always want to have out no matter what deck I'm running. For the same reason as the one above Vesuva takes it for me.

Zoetic Cavern for sure...

In all seriousness I would have to vote for Reliquary Tower. Almost every deck I build wants one as they all seem to end up with 8+ cards in hand at some point in the game.

Vesuva - I've never been unhappy to draw it.

I have to go with Boseiju, Who Shelters All, assuming these votes are for what is best in a EDH group game. I'd like to have my win condition be uncounterable, as opposed to anything else these lands have to offer.

If this was 1v1, I would pick Strip Mine for the obvious Crucible combo.
